New BAS Mining 10×4 tipper for Vicat

BAS Mining Trucks recently delivered a new 10x4 tipper to Vicat, France. This is the first BAS Mining Truck for Vicat. The tipper has a payload of 55 tonnes and will be used to transport a mixture of limestone and clay over a distance of maximum 2 kilometers.

VICAT
With a yearly production of over 30 million tons, Vicat is France’s largest producer of cement. Vicat cement is used throughout the world for projects as varied as high-rise buildings, hydro power plants, bridges, and viaducts. It is a raw material for making concrete. It is a fine mineral powder obtained by firing and milling a mixture of crushed limestone and clay.

BAS MINING 10×4 TIPPER
The new BAS Mining 10×4 tipper is used to transport the material from the blasting area to the crusher, dumping directly into the crusher itself. Until now, traditional rigid dumptrucks were used for this. Vicat has very high standards in the field of sustainability. Therefore they already use biodiesel in their vehicles and machines. In addition, with the same payload, the BAS Mining 10×4 tipper uses three times less fuel than the traditional dump trucks that run on site. This is a huge step forward in reaching their sustainable goals.

MAINTENANCE
The BAS Mining 10×4 tipper runs 24/7 and maintenance and repair will be caried out on site Vicats’ own workshop. Parts are delivered by the local Volvo truckdealer in Lyon.  We wish them many pleasant working hours with their new BAS Mining trucks!
