BAS Mining Trucks delivered the third 10x4 tipper of this year to Harsco, the Netherlands. The tippers are in use at Tata Steel in IJmuiden to haul various sizes of slag and scrap metal.
Three BAS Mining Trucks are now deployed at Harsco Metals & Minerals in IJmuiden, The Netherlands: two 10×4 side cylinder tippers and one 10×4 front cilinder tipper. The location of Tata Steel in IJmuiden is known for the production of high-grade steel for various applications. It is part of the European activities of Tata Steel and employs more than 9,000 people. Tata Steel in IJmuiden produces and supplies more than 7 million tonnes of high-grade and coated steel in the form of coils annually, including design, technology and consultancy services. The steel from IJmuiden is mainly processed in the automotive, construction and packaging industries. The material is further used in batteries, pipes, industrial vehicles and in white goods, such as refrigerators and cookers. The company site covers 750 hectares and is located directly on the North Sea.
