To increase traction in the muddy underfoot conditions and on steep climbs, KB Handel chose for a 10×6 configuration with single mounted tyres. The driver is enthusiastic: “especially the stability and the drivability is fantastic.” A second, similar unit is planned to be delivered on site in October 2020. The two 10×6 Pushers will haul an average of 3,000 tonnes per truck per day. The discharges are counted electronically and the exact amount of tonnes as well as the fuel consumption are registered in real-time in BAS Mining Trucks’ own web based platform that’s available for KB.
