This week BAS Mining Trucks delivered a new BAS Mining 10x6 pusher with single mounted tyres with a payload of 54 tonnes to KB Handel. The truck has a powerful 540hp engine and meets the highest emission standards (Euro 6). The truck will be deployed on the OBA site in Amsterdam for the transport of asphalt granulate, amongst other materials, over a short distance on a self- built dump area.
To increase traction in the muddy underfoot conditions and on steep climbs, KB Handel chose for a 10×6 configuration with single mounted tyres. The first impression of the driver is very good: “especially the stability and the drivability is fantastic.” A second, similar unit is being built at this moment, planned to be delivered on site in October 2020. The two 10×6 Pushers will haul an average of 3,000 tonnes per truck per day! The discharges are counted electronically and the exact amount of tonnes as well as the fuel consumption are registered in real-time in BAS Mining Trucks’ own web based platform that’s available for KB.
Repair and maintenance are carried out by BAS Mining Trucks, onsite at OBA Amsterdam.
